Tip #3- Find Your Reason WHY!

Every year millions of people set a New Years Resolution to lose weight, many set that same resolution the next year and then next year and the next year…  You know the drill and you may be one of those people.  Its not about simply losing weight, its about feeling more confident in yourself, having more energy, being able to get outside and play with your kids or taking on that 10k or obstacle course race that you have always wanted to do…

Tip # 3:  Find Your Reason
Sure, wanting to look better is what motivates most clients to sign up for for a gym but it’s not what gets them to their end goal transformation.  Deep down there is a reason you want this, find that reason and focus on it with laser like precision.  To get at your reason may take some serious self examination- “What do I really care about?  What makes me happy? How can I get more of that in my life?”
Your reason is your own- It may be that wedding you have coming up, maybe a High School Reunion, maybe that vacation you want to look your best for, it may be that you just got bad news from the doctor…  It doesn’t matter what the reason is, it’s your reason.  My reason is I was 33, fat and miserable.  My father had cancer at 37 and I thought, I have a 3 year old I need to be around and can’t live like this anymore.  Now take that reason and write it on your mirror, put it in your wallet, post it on your dashboard just make sure you see it everyday.  Then when you feel like you may slip pull that out and remind yourself why you are doing this all over again and get back on track.
Just remember that healthy eating habits end up improving how you feel, look, move and generally enjoy life. All of this helps lead to continued healthy eating getting to the gym and pounds lost over time leading to a new you  Do go sit down and ask yourself some hard questions and be honest with those answers and it will help you find your reason.
Ok, so we just gave you Tip # 3 to help you turn this year into the last year that you make the “I’m going to lose weight” resolution.  You deserve to be happy with yourself, proud of how you look and to be the best version of you!  Some of this is really personal and I can’t help you with that but we can help teach you how to do it, give you the support you need and a great place to exercise with really awesome people.
